The Genesis of Video Games

Only a few digital pages of my 2015 Senior Thesis, researched, written and designed by myself. Five copies were printed. One remains at the Northwest College of Art and Design, one with my mother - in storage in Washington. One is with my father in Boston, the fourth was delivered to Patrice Deselet by Jonatcho (Or Jonatcho has it somewhere), while the fifth has moved with me four times, and sits on my shelf. Errors and all.

The research section defines and categorizes video games, then examines games as they began to appear in (at first, analog) computerized forms. From Nimatron to government algorithms for tactical simulations, and even a touch of Arcade, it explores the gritty beginnings of video game development - which were absolutely nothing like the multi billion dollar industry of today. Small roots for such a large present.

I am still expanding on my research and plan to publish a full paper that focuses solely on the Genesis of Video Games in 2020.
